Esthetics Program Course Description

Esthetician Courses Comprising the Esthetics Program

Our Georgia State Board of Cosmetology approved 1000 clock hour program is taught in five esthetician training courses. Introduction to Esthetics, a 280 clock hour course, is a prerequisite for other esthetician courses. The program is divided into 712 clock hours of classroom instruction and 288 clock hours of clinic instruction. The full-time Esthetics Program typically takes 9 months to complete. The part-time Esthetics Program typically takes 12 months to complete.

Students are required to earn 485 treatment credits during the program. A treatment credit may be a facial, body treatment, makeup, hair removal or tinting application. Each esthetician training course includes a specific number of treatment applications that must be completed before continuing to the next course.

The clinic internship provides the opportunity to practice techniques and interactive skills, with the public, in a real- life setting supervised by a state licensed esthetics instructor.  Our curriculum is designed to provide you with all the basic skills necessary to perform a facial, back facial, hair removal, or add-on-service by the end of the introductory esthetician course. You will have the opportunity to master your techniques as you continue to provide esthetic services to the public throughout your advanced training.

As part of the 1000 clock hour program you will receive certifications in Microdermabrasion, Spa Therapies and Reflexology.
